Door Assembler 1st Shift

Assemble ASI door models following blueprints and other written and verbal specifications by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Follow assembly procedures per specifications.  Drill, tap, saw or ream holes. Aligns components, and bolts, screws, or rivets together.  Install windows, hardware, and other components as specified on blueprint and other work instructions

Utilizes lifting equipment as needed.

Tests or assists in testing operation of completed product.

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:  Lift equipment certification is beneficial and required in select areas

Education and/or Experience:  Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Language Skills:  Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write simple correspondence.  Ability to effectively present information to co-workers and management.

Mathematical Skills:  Requires the use of addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division of decimals and fractions; work from drawings, specification, and formulas involving limited detail.

Reasoning Ability:  Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions. Ability to work independently, solve practical problems, and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.  Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.  Must be detail orientated as well as thorough.

Other Skills and Abilities:  Working experience with power and hand tools a must, including power drills and deburring equipment; read and interpret blueprints and assembly drawings; Use tape measure and electrical testing devices as required.
