Inside Sales Representative

Summary

ASI Doors Inside Sales Representative is a customer-centric role which focuses on customer contact and relationships to drive the business and generate new revenue. This role is responsible for bringing new sale opportunities to ASI and creating brand awareness in the marketplace.

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities

This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.

  • Analyze bid requests and construction projects to determine customer needs and quote door applications according to architectural specifications and construction requirements.
  • Route custom door applications through prescribed company process to ensure accurate solution and correct pricing.
  • Independently negotiate product pricing to preserve appropriate margins while remaining competitive in the marketplace.
  • Provide essential pricing feedback to drive cost analysis and improved product features/benefits as demanded by marketplace.
  • Present quote package to customer and explain any deviations from original specification or bid alternates.
  • Apply knowledge of ASI products and market conditions to maintain a high won quote rate.
  • Use company prescribed tools to track and monitor opportunities ensuring timely follow up and fulfillment of customer expectations.
  • Maintain regular customer communication on open quotes to ensure accuracy of project scope and timeline.
  • Conduct or participate in customer project meetings as necessary.
  • Cultivate distribution relationships within each vertical channel to identify new business opportunities and partnerships.
  • Develop, maintain, and integrate tools for improved sales tracking and management.
  • Ensure CRM data is accurate and current for customers and prospects.
  • Achieve targeted sales goals for quoted and won projects as presented by leadership.
  • Develop a deep understanding of ASI products and be able to creatively determine the best solution to offer our customers.
  • Generate interest in ASI products by presenting customers with benefits of new product development and innovations.
  • Foster strong customer relationships to ensure legacy business.
  • Other duties as assigned

  • Experience in negotiations and addressing quote concerns
  • Outlook, Excel, Word, experience required; OnContact CRM and WorkWise ERP system familiarity preferred

 Education and/or Experience

High school diploma and five years of related experience or an Bachelor’s Degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university preferred. Experience in a business-to-business sales setting is required.  Material handling, construction management, and/or estimating experience is preferred.

Must have basic knowledge of customer service, operations, supply chain, and sourcing.

Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.  Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent.

Reasoning Ability

An individual who is Mechanically Inclined will be essential to success in this role. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
